Trunk-or-Treat Car Show

Get ready for a fun-filled day of classic cars, costumes, candy, and family-friendly Halloween fun at the National Museum of the Marine Corps on Saturday, October 24! Our first annual Trunk-or-Treat Car Show brings together creatively decorated vehicles, sweet treats, and Halloween activities for visitors of all ages.

Families are invited to come in costume, explore the museum, and enjoy a day of Halloween-themed fun. Car enthusiasts are also encouraged to register their vehicles and join the Trunk-or-Treat. Only registered vehicles will be permitted in the reserved parking area.

Event Schedule

  • 10:00 – 11:30 AM: Registered Vehicle Check-in

  • 12:00 – 3:00 PM: Trunk-or-Treat Car Show — Open to the Public | Trunk-or-Treat contest voting will begin

  • 1:00 PM: Winner for best decorated vehicle will be announced

Parking & Vehicle Registration

Public parking is available in unreserved spaces on a first-come, first-served basis. Individuals and car groups interested in participating in the Trunk-or-Treat and Car Show must register their vehicles in advance. Only registered vehicles will be permitted in the reserved parking area.

Our Car Shows average 100 participating vehicles and more than 1,200 spectators, making them a great opportunity to showcase your vehicle to a large and enthusiastic audience.

Vehicle registration deadline: Thursday, October 22, 2026 at midnight

This link is the only official way to register for this event.  There is no cost for participation; this is a FREE event. Please be aware of scams on social media that claim to be affiliated with this event or offer event registration.

  • Trunk-or-Treat participants will be judged, and a prize will be awarded to the fan favorite based on the Halloween spirit of their car decor.
  • Display-only participants will not be judged. All vehicle years, makes, and models are welcome to participate in this portion of the event.

Registration for this event is FREE, but donations to the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation are always appreciated! Click here to donate.
