During museum operational hours of 9 am to 5 pm, the museum directly manages the public spaces located within Leatherneck Gallery. For more exclusive daytime event settings, the following spaces are available for reservation through MCHF during museum operational hours:

  • Medal of Honor Theater: Ideal for film screenings, ceremonies, lectures, and presentations.
  • Medal of Honor Theater Lobby: A semi-private space perfect for cocktail receptions or seated dinners.
  • Corsair Overlook: A scenic, intimate space overlooking Leatherneck Gallery, ideal for small gatherings.

Do I have to be affiliated with the military to hold an event at the museum?

No! The National Museum of the Marine Corps and Semper Fidelis Memorial Chapel is open to the public for private events.

Would you be able to tentatively hold our dates until we can make a final decision?

​Yes. We can place a curiosity hold on our calendar for up to two weeks. ​This hold must be requested.

When do you need a final head count?

A final head count is due 14 days prior to your event. 

What is your inclement weather and closings policy for events?

The Museum's operating status is based upon directive from the United States Marine Corps and Department of Defense, making us subject to sudden changes without notice.
