Marine Football Display Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

On January 28, 2026, the National Museum of the Marine Corps celebrated the official ribbon-cutting for its newest exhibit, Marine Football, honoring over 50 years of Marine Corps football tradition. The ceremony featured remarks from distinguished leaders, including Brigadier General Matthew Tracy, USMC, Lieutenant Colonel Ronald Eckert, USMC (Ret.), and Colonel Keil Gentry, USMC (Ret.), each highlighting the rich legacy of teamwork, resilience, and service embodied by Marines on and off the field. The event also included a performance by the Quantico Marine Band and the debut of the centerpiece painting, Semper Fi on the Field, by artist Jason Breidenbach.

Visitors and supporters joined in this momentous occasion as the Museum continues its mission of preserving and sharing Marine Corps history through powerful stories and artifacts.
