Laser Simulated Rifle Range

RR_Front

Test your aim. Experience Marine training. Take home bragging rights.

Step into the shoes of a Marine rifleman at the Laser Simulated Rifle Range, one of the most popular interactive experiences at the National Museum of the Marine Corps. Located in the Making Marines gallery, this indoor range invites visitors of all ages (recommended for ages 5 and up) to test their marksmanship using replica rifles modified with laser technology.

With ten shots, no time limit, and a live score sheet, you’ll see how your skills measure up against Marine Corps standards. Choose your stance—standing, kneeling, sitting, or prone—and fire at a simulated 300-yard target (projected at 35 yards). Rifles available include the legendary M1 Garand, M16A1, and M4 Carbine, each fitted with iron sights.

The Challenge Coin

Shoot a perfect 100—ten bullseyes with ten shots—and you’ll earn more than bragging rights. You’ll take home an exclusive Rifle Range Challenge Coin, a collectible only available here at the Museum and impossible to purchase anywhere else.
