"American Sons" follows a brotherhood of Marines a decade after their deployment in Afghanistan, as they struggle to overcome the trauma of combat and the loss of their best friend, Corporal JV Villarreal. Guests of all ages are invited to the National Museum of the Marine Corps to celebrate Veterans Day, the USMC Birthday, and the Museum's 20th Birthday! Guests can participate in a host of classic Museum Education activities from across the years (such as shipbuilding and airplane flying), can make challenge coins and thank you letters for veterans, can explore the Museum with a special gallery guide curated by the Museum's staff, and more! Caricatures, face painting, and other fun activities will also be available!

The Museum galleries will be open until 7:00 PM while Tun Tavern and Devil Dog Diner will operate on extended hours until 6:45 PM. Concessions of snacks and hot beverages will also be available.
