The Marine Corps Heritage Foundation is now accepting nominations for the 2026 Annual Awards, honoring outstanding storytelling that preserves and promotes Marine Corps history, traditions, and service.
Since 1981, the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation has proudly recognized individuals whose creative work preserves, promotes, and shares the history, traditions, and culture of the United States Marine Corps. Over the decades, the program has become a powerful reminder that history is not only recorded in archives but also brought to life through storytelling, art, and scholarship that connect past and present.
From battlefield accounts to works of art, from scholarly research to compelling photography and film, the Marine Corps story continues to inspire and resonate with audiences worldwide. The Annual Awards Program is one of the Foundation’s most prestigious initiatives, bringing together Marines, veterans, historians, journalists, artists, and supporters to honor those whose contributions capture the Marine Corps’ legacy of service and sacrifice. Each spring, the program culminates in a black-tie dinner at the National Museum of the Marine Corps, where award recipients are recognized before an audience of senior Marine Corps leaders, distinguished guests, and members of the Foundation.
