Ortiz's War Book Signing & Discussion

image (3)

Join authors Katie Sanders and Nicholas Reynolds for a discussion of their new book, Ortiz’s War, exploring the extraordinary life and wartime career of Colonel Peter J. Ortiz, USMCR. One of the most decorated Marines of World War II, Ortiz served with the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), conducting dangerous top-secret missions behind enemy lines in occupied France. From helping train French resistance fighters to gathering intelligence and sabotaging Nazi operations, his remarkable story offers a unique look at the courage and sacrifice of Marines who served in the European Theater.

Following the discussion, stay for an audience Q&A with the authors to learn more about Ortiz’s daring missions and the often-overlooked role of Marines in World War II Europe. Special guests connected to the story may also be in attendance.
