Student Art Competition Gallery
On November 10, 2025, the National Museum of the Marine Corps proudly opened its doors to honor the 250th birthday of the United States Marine Corps. Despite the ongoing federal government shutdown, hundreds of Marines, veterans, families, and supporters gathered in Leatherneck Gallery for two traditional cake-cutting ceremonies — complete with the reading of General Lejeune’s message and the symbolic sharing of cake between the oldest and youngest Marines present.
Thank you to all who joined us to celebrate this incredible milestone in Marine Corps history.
Semper Fidelis and Happy 250th Birthday, Marines!
