Attire: Casual Description: Active duty & retired military members, alongside their friends and family, are invited to join us for a special viewing of the 1987 movie Full Metal Jacket (Rated R) and a Q&A with actor Matthew Modine at the National Museum of the Marine Corps on Sunday, 3 March at 1100. This event kicks off the National Museum of the Marine Corps' new Full Metal Modine exhibit. The exhibit includes photographs by actor and filmmaker Matthew Modine featuring large-scale aluminum prints of photos he took while on the set of Stanley Kubrick’s famous film Full Metal Jacket. Modine documented the filmmaking process using the 1960’s era Rolleiflex camera used by his character (Private Joker) in the movie. This exhibit will be on display at the National Museum of the Marine Corps from March 2024 through September 2025. This film is rated R and not suitable for audiences under the age of 18. Under 17 Requires Accompanying Parent or Adult Guardian. Contains some adult material. Parents are urged to learn more about the film before taking their young children with them.
