College Internships
 |
The National Museum of the Marine Corps and the History Division of the
Marine Corps University offer opportunities for college students to
participate on a professional level in historical, research, and museum
activities. The intent of the program is to give promising and talented
students a chance to earn college credit while gaining meaningful
experiences in fields in which they might choose to seek employment after
school or to further avocational interests.
|
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be registered students at a college or university, which will grant academic credit for work experience as interns in subject areas related to the students' course of study. While there are no restrictions on individuals applying for intern positions, it has been found that mature and academically superior students are most successful. The agreement of the academic institution to the internship for credit is essential.
Expenses
A small stipend is provided by the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation to each
intern who works with the History Division or the National Museum of the
Marine Corps. All other costs of the internship are the responsibility of
the student.
