The Marine Corps Heritage Foundation invites you to attend a movie night at the National Museum of the Marine Corps, showing "Sands of Iwo Jima." The 1949 movie stars John Wayne as John M. Stryker, a battle-hardened, embittered squad leader who takes an overly tough approach to training his green recruits. The new Marines think Stryker is too harsh and too mean, but discover the value of his rough attitude when they enter the epic World War II Battle of Iwo Jima.
