Thursday, August 28 Summer Concert Series — Quantico Marine Corps Band
Join us on the parade deck of the National Museum of the Marine Corps to see the Quantico Marine Corps Band. Bring your lawn chairs or picnic blankets and family and friends!

7:30 - 9:00pm


The Museum, Museum Store and Tun Tavern will remain open until the start of the concert.

FREE admission and FREE parking.
Saturday, August 30 Special Event — Dog Days of Summer
Bring your family to the Museum to see military working dogs, birds of prey and various pet adoption agencies with animals looking for a home.

Thursday, September 4 Special Event — Preschool Day
Kick up your paws and come learn about Chesty, the costumed mascot of the National Museum of the Marine Corps.  Kids 2-5 years old can enjoy crafts and book readings about Chesty.

Saturday, September 13 Family Day — Robotics
Bring your family to the Museum for an afternoon of viewing the latest in robotics technology. Learn how Marines use robots to find hidden explosives, and how students compete as teams in school robotics competitions.

Monday, September 22 Special Event — Homeschool Day
Specifically designed hands-on educational stations for homeschool families to enjoy throughout the Museum.  This year’s theme will be geography.  For more information, contact Dianne Eelman at 703 296-8028 or at Deborah.eelman@usmc.mil.

Family Day — Rappahannock Trains
The Rappahannock Model Railroad Club will present their O-Gauge model trains layout. Come see steam, electric, and diesel model railroad locomotives that ran across the United States as far back as the 1920's.

Saturday, October 25 Family Day — Halloween Special Event
Bring your little ghosts and goblins to the Museum for a special Halloween event. Crafts, games and a magic show are just the beginning of this annual fun, festive (not the least bit spooky) event for ages 1-10.

Thursday, October 30 — featuring Mr. Robert S. Mueller, III
An Evening with a Distinguished Speaker featuring Mr. Robert S. Mueller, III, sixth Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. His speech topic is "The FBI - Safeguarding our National Security".

6:30pm - Cash-bar Reception
7:00pm - Dinner Program
